How Great is Highlands Links?

While there have been thousands of books written on the subject of golf there are only a few that standout as being truly seminal works. At the top of this list is the World Atlas of Golf, written by a panel of international experts and first published in 1976. If one were starting a library of golf books the World Golf Atlas would be among the first few books you would want to have. In the fall of 2008 a new version of the Atlas was published and in both editions Highlands Links is included among a very select group of the great courses in the world. Included in the courses featured in the World Golf Atlas along with Highlands Links are: St. Andrews, Royal Birkdale, Winged Foot, Bethpage Black, Shinnecock Hills, Riviera and Royal Melbourne to name just a few.

Anyone who has played Highlands Links knows the experience is special and experts agree—Highlands Links is a true National Treasure and has stood the test of time for almost 70 years and almost 1,000,000 rounds of golf.
